I’m a pilot doing the charter flights to Cuba out of Miami. I’ve been to Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Guantanamo, and one or two other cities I don’t remember just now. I was surprised how lush and green the island is from the air. The flights are pretty emotional because all the passengers have to wait for (I think) 3 years in between visits. Also, they’re only allowed to bring a very limited amount of money in. I think the rule is that you have to have family in Cuba in order to be allowed to travel there on the charter. As far as I know, there is no ‘tourism’ per se. We’re all looking forward to the day when Cuba opens up again for American tourism.

Honestly, making tofu is a time consuming and messy process, and you don’t really save any money doing it because even a hard-core veg like me can only eat so much of the stuff, and it spoils after a while. Just buy fresh tofu from the market as you need it. It’s only about $3 a block. Try the different brands.. some are better than others.
Adopting a child was always a life goal for me. I already had 2 bio boys, so it was time to request a girl. Went through all the paperwork and waiting, and finally got her! I’ve had her for over 2 years now, and she’s daddy’s little girl all right.
Just make sure if you’re part of a couple that both of you really want to adopt, and that one person isn’t talking the other into doing it, or there will be friction down the road.
