How I did it: I started college in Vermont, but I have spent my entire life in California. Rugby really isn't too big out there. My first or second week into school, this girl I lived with asked if I wanted to join the team. I told her that I was completely out of shape, as anyone could tell by me being overweight. She said that it didn't matter, running will come with practice and I'll eventually get in shape if I went to practice everyday. What they … Read how I did it…
I have cut down from reading four chapters a day, back to one, and then even from one, to a small section a night. I’ve been very busy, and although the night time is best for me to read, I am so tired when I get there, that I can not read as much as I used to. I think this is a good thing and a bad thing because although I am reading only a little bit, I know that I am re-reading it until I understand it and absorb it. It’s not like I’m reading through and not really paying attention to it. Right now I am in Philippians, and I think I am still doing pretty well. I would have been done by now if I had kept with my original pace, but still, I am much further then I ever thought I would actually get.
I talked to my adviser recently, and I don’t need to be here an extra year. That means I’ve only got a year and one half left. Tomorrow is the beginning of finals week, and on Friday I’m flying home. When I get back here though, it’s the beginning of my second semester as a Junior in college.
