I’ve taken classes in motorcycle driving and enjoyed the process. I’m hoping to get a motorcycle in China after I get there.

I have been calling all over to see what can be done about this goal of mine. I received a call not long ago saying that my birth grandmother had recently edited the records of my family history, and because of that my adoption agency correspondent was able to get a hold of them. She talked to my birth mother and my birth grandmother. They both seemed excited to meet me.

My name was: kimberly ann
My mothers name is: Judith ann
My grand mothers name is: Judith

That was the other bits of information I received. It was all very shocking and exciting. I didn’t think it would be this easy. ^_!

I went with my family on a month long driving vacation. As much as the family troubles were a bit rough in some spots, I’d advise everyone to do this and to drive all the way out there. It’s worth it to see the land around the Grand Canyon and understand how the settlers saw things when they rolled out there in their covered wagons. Good luck to all of you who haven’t!~

Just a bit of advice on this topic. If you are looking to do this, read as much as you can on it. That’s all I can really tell you. ^^

My family came up to visit me from our home two hours away and spend the night near my college the night before Commencement. I’ve never had such a good time with my family. We ate and drank and talked and then moved to the club next door and all of us got on the dance floor. I mean all of us! My 91 year old grandmother included! It was awesome! XD The next day was a little more hectic, but everything turned out alright. (Thanks to both pieces of my family, the darker half and the lighter half for being there, and I’m so glad to have graduated!) Now all I need to do is get through these finals and I’m golden! Wish me luck!

When I was a younger child, my father would take me around the subdivision on his motorcycle with him. I love the feel of the wind whipping at your face and the grumble of the machine as you accelerate. It feels like freedom and that’s why I want to learn to ride and take a short road trip with my dad to his land in another state. After I graduate I’m going to pitch the idea to him. Wish me luck~

After I graduate I will have a month with very little to do. In that month I am hoping to be able to contact the court through which I was adopted and be given access to my file, and hopefully the names of my birth patents( and hopefully their SSNs or other personal information). I am currently much more concerned with finding my mother then my father, for some odd reason, but I would love to find them both if possible. This is my first step and after I accomplish it, I’m hoping to be able to find them in person.

I talked to one of my professors that I’m relatively close to and asked him where he thinks I should go when I visit India. He knows that I’m interested in traditional medicine from different cultures and he recommended me to visit the following places:
Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, West Bengal, Pune, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.

He also mentioned that it will be difficult for me to get people there to open up to me about Traditional Medicine because of the habits of the caste system. Your caste is like your extended family, and if you’re not a part of that caste then you are not trusted because there are very few checks and balances in place to make you honor your promises or contracts, where as when you are in the caste you can be casted out and completely ignored by everyone you know if you don’t uphold your promises or contracts. Thus, he said I should attempt to barter with someone by helping them with something that they need so that they can help me learn India’s traditional medicine concepts. I think this is an amazing idea, and I would be more then willing to do so.

India apparently upholds a very wonderful system of astronomy/astrology and that everything you do is ordained on the day of your birth. It’s a very interesting concept and I’m sure there are things I’m missing as I attempt to retell what my professor told me, but I think it’s extremely interesting. I plan on looking into these concepts and these places more as I attempt to figure out where I will go and when I will be able to visit India.

My Undergrad commencement is on Dec. 8th. My family and friends are coming up to see me walk across the stage. Wish me luck!

This is the hardest part of any book and we have already scrapped pieces of it and changed the ending, twice. Thus far, we have the middle done and are working on finishing the beginning and the end of our little written project. It’s edgy, provocative, and makes you think when you read it. I’m excited to get down to it and finish it, but I don’t have any more time at the moment. We are planning to get together for a long weekend and write more together in January.

Over the course of the last two and a half years, my friend and I have been discussing a plot line for our possible book. We know what we want to accomplish within our story and we have outlined it to the best of our ability thus far.

In the fall of 06 I took a course in Esoteric Healing and successfully completed level 1! Now to find someone to teach me the second course, seeing as my instructor abruptly moved to another part of the state…

During that same trip, we ended up visiting a CTM University and there was a museum of all the things that the students there studied. I purchased a mannequin of all the acupuncture points on the human body and brought it home. ^_ It looks really cool and also shows the meridian lines in the body too. One day I hope to return to that University and study there myself.

While I was in China in 2007, I had troubles sleeping so I went to the CTM doctor with my professor and a small group of students (we all wanted the experience) and paid the fee to sit in with the doctors. When I told them my sleeping troubles(via a very helpful professor to translate), they told me that I had a decrease in qi (energy) in my liver and that I should take herbs and to see the acupuncturist and receive acupressure. I ended up taking 19 herb pills three times a day and getting these little bronze balls taped onto the outside of my ear and had to press them randomly through out the next week. It was really neat and cured me within a week and a half!

I was sitting in my dorm when my friends rushed in and told everyone that they could see the Borealis on one corner of the campus. I ran out with them and there is was a barely visible green haze twisting and turning against the dark background of the midnight sky. It was breathtakingly beautiful, however I want to travel to Alaska and see the real thing so I don’t consider it to have been accomplished yet.

2007, I took a survival Chinese course while studying in China. I’ve learned a bunch of basic phrases and how to read Chinese in Pin Yin(‘English’ lettering version of Chinese). Now I speak it randomly while back in the states. This picture is of our class and our teacher is in here too. ^_~<3 I miss this course.

I was talking to a friend of mine during the china trip of 07 and she told me that she took a ballet class for years. I immediately asked her if she would teach me the first few positions, and she did! It was a lot of fun! ^_

In 2007 I took a trip to China with my college and we traveled the silk road. It started out on the back of a camel in the Gobi desert and ended up on a train ride to Urumqi. It was long and sometimes tiresome, but absolutely amazing and I loved it!
