Despite all the drama, the homesickness, and the tears shed over the first boyfriend (who broke my heart) I was able to survive. I love college – it is definitely an experience. =)

I finally went to my first concert on March 22nd, which was The Ataris. Boy, was it an experience I will never forget. We went to the place where the concert was supposed to be held but the concert moved to a new location. We tried looking for the location and found it about five minutes before the concert started. The place where the concert was held was dirty and sketchy. Also, there were only 35-40 people there for the concert.
The first opening band, Wax on the Radio, sucked. The lead singer looked like he was imitating the lead singer of The Used. The two friends I was with and I sat out on that one and didn’t watch them play. Then the second opening band performed and they were AMAZING. They are called Blackpool Lights and I swear, they are going to become famous sometime within the next couple of years. They are great and you can tell they were having a great time, which I like. Then The Ataris played and were awesome. They played their old and new stuff, which is what I was hoping for. They played my all-time favorite song and also my favorite song from their new cd.
After they were done playing I went and bought some merchandise. I got an Ataris t-shirt and Blackpool Lights’ cd. The guys from Blackpool Lights were at the merchandise booth and they autographed a section of my cd case, which is AMAZING!! I told them that this was my first concert and they were really nice and cool.
After the show we had slurpees from 7-11 and food from Taco Bell. We didn’t get back to the dorm until 2am and I had to get up for work at 7:30am. It was so tired the next morning but it was soooooo worth it!
