Missed a bus connection from a ferry. Would have been a two hour wait, but decided to give hitching a go. The first car stopped and gave me a ride to my destination. Would try again.

How I did it: Tolkiens grave is located in Wolvercote Cemetery in North Oxford. To find it you just need to walk north up Banbury Road. It took me around 1.5 hours at a slow pace stopping at a supermarket on the way. It's an easy enough route to follow and is served by regular buses if walking is not your thing. The cemetery itself is nicely out of central Oxford and I was the only tourist there during my visit. The grave is signposted and is easy to fi… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I actually ran to Loch Lomond from Glasgow. There is a national cycle route, which is well signposted and easy to follow. It's 20 miles and took me 3:35.I also found the end of Great Western Road a long time goal of mine.I got the train back from Balloch, which is on the coast of the Loch. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Went for just 2 nights staying in the Iona Hostel. Great little hostel, no curfew and comfortable beds. The island in general just had a tranquil feel about it, a sense that nothing could go wrong. You can go hiking without worry because the island is so small that you just can't get lost. Having a nap on top of a hill and waking up to watch the fog roll in, just surreal. You see bikes left next to the road with no locks on them, there is… Read how I did it…

I don’t really have a track nearby so I’m gonna have to try and do this on a marked out course. I think a 5 min mile is achievable, even if it is a pretty quick pace.
Anybody have any training tips?
Just ran 24km today and looking to increase it by 2 km a week to a maximum of 32 km during training.
My left knee is causing me trouble as is my right IT band and I have blisters on my feet but never felt better. Looking to get a sub 4 hour time and think it will be possible as long as the injuries to not get any worse.
Tips:
Sign up early, once you have a deadline you have to train.
