Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

- The Robots.

!!!!!!! Read this, please.

Hello again, kids.
So, I’ve been reading your posts for awhile now and.. Okay. To be honest I don’t know why I’m even here if this stuff makes me angry. Maybe because I want to bring some of you to the right path? But why would I try? Nobody listens. YOU ARE BLINDED with all those vampire stories… Alright, I won’t complain about this. I will tell you few reasons why none of you will be turned into a vampire and what should you actually do if you want to help us.
First of all, I thought that people are older here, but most of you are only 11-12 years old. We, vampires, cannot and do not want to even consider turning a child. I mean that is sick. What you need to do? Become an adult, finish the school so you can at least spell most of the words right :) and finally get more knowledge! Personally, I would like to have an intelligent “vampire buddy” to talk to.
Second, you should stop watching Twilight and things related to teenage vampires, and clear your head from all this stuff. Most of us hate those movies.
Third, be a friend. Be yourself. What we need is a friend, a person who could listen and understand us. We are dealing with many problems and sometimes it’s really hard to handle. Your biggest problem is that you ask us to turn you into a vampire. What we get instead? You killed? More problems? We try to avoid people, who ask to be turned. Look, turning is really difficult and almost impossible. One can’t become a vampire if he gets bitten. The process is much harder and dangerous for both: you and me.
And then if you are 18 or older, you can be a donor! Of course, you have to be healthy, but again, if you have any disease friend is as much important as donor for us.
By the way, there is no such thing as war coming. We don’t fight each other. We don’t fight therians (weres) or other otherkins. We all live in peace.
Being a vampire wouldn’t make your life better. It would only bring more troubles.

I guess that is all I wanted to say. Take care.

"Trying to help you, vampires.."

SERIOUSLY? That’s ridiculous. May I ask, how are you going to help us? You would be a trouble for us and for yourself. I tell you what, forget the computer and the whole vampire thing. Become mature. Learn to deal with reality and deal with human things first. That’s all you need now.

A thing you, wannabe's, should know..

Hello there, people.
How are you doing?
I found this page few minutes ago and couldn’t resist but to post the entry to let you know: NO ONE WILL EVER TURN YOU INTO A VAMPIRE. Why? Because you have to be BORN one; even if turning is possible (that’s funny, but I believe it is), you would be weaker “version” of vampire or even weaker than normal human. You wouldn’t sparkle in sunlight and you wouldn’t become super beautiful. Besides, most of you are 11-15 years old which is another problem, because you have to be at least 18 years old to ask anyone such thing.
Anyway, I’m willing to answer all the questions you have. I have MSN, so you can give me your MSN e-mail or just e-mail and I will contact you, okay?
Alright. Until then.
