Life is not a journey to the grave with the intent to arrive in a pretty, and well preserved body. But rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: “that was one hell of a ride!”

You sit, idling. you stare at the back of the vehicle in front of you. this is it. you have to nail this start. the flag drops. you shift your foot to teh right, and peg the throttle. the engine roars to life, and you are thrown back in your seat. as you prepare for this turn, you realize that one wrong move, or a missed apex will cost you. you know someone behind you desperately wants you to do so. you know they’re there, but no time to use your mirrors. here it comes… you again move your foot to the brake and you spin the wheel. the two ton behemoth wrapped around you groans as you gracefully whip around the curve. you’ve hit your mark, and nothing but the open road stands before you, beckoning you to punish it. you bring the car back around, and nail the gas. the engine protests as the tach yells at redline. Shift. youre screaming down a straightaway, wildly chasing the next bend,. you know this one is yours, and you ace it. this is a good day. this is my passion.
