How I did it: An old school friend who is the editor of a uni magazine heard about my poetry slamming through the ABC and got in touch with me. The arts section published some of my work as well as well as an interview. Nice one! Read how I did it…

I want someone to pay me to be me 1 month ago

I’m a children’s speech and drama teacher and a wandering poet and artist living in a regional city. I would love to offer free speech and drama lessons to disadvantaged children, and generally spend my days building the artistic side of my community and connecting people who can help each other. I want to start a not-for-profit youth theatre company and organise opportunities for young people to learn more about professional performing arts. I just need to find someone who is willing to pay me a small sallary – say, $20,000 per annum (more if possible, but I don’t need much to live on) so that I can spend more of my time acheiving these dreams!
