Our little family finally went on a short vacation two states over, but it was a vacation, none the less.
We spent two nights at the Howard Johnson hotel in Post Falls, and the girls got to swim quite a bit. With the new van and the little DVD player, the girls were fairly good little travelers.
I think I could probably handle taking them to a powwow somewhere if I can find someone with one older kid who could help me with Iris if Hailee flips. Like Annie, Jonah is big enough to help out if need be.
Anyway, they swam, they saw Riverfront park, went on the carosel, went on some other rides. Hailee freaked me out on the ferris wheel, not holding on, just no fear at all, no concept of how far up we were except that we were next to the flag. Ahhh autism…..
Speaking of the autism, Hailee did pretty well, she was frightened of the room at first, Iris ran in, turning on lights, Hailee cried in the hallway, and we had to try it two times before we could go all the way in.

I decided when I found out what the terrible interest rate was going to be that I have to get the van paid off early.
But, I do have a nice, newer vehicle, and the payments are managable, even with no additional income. Which I could easily make the van payement with MK every months, which I should get on doing.

I finally bailed, I had a conversation with upper management, who made me realize things were never going to improve, and that was the pivital moment that I decided I was LEAVING.
So, I put in for a lower level secretarial position, willing to take a dollar cut in pay if I had to, got the job, and they are paying me $.02 less an hour. Totally worth it, I love the job, the people I work with are nice. For the most part, truly genuine, kind people, with souls. What a change, and not a felon in the bunch.
They even got me a cake for my birthday! Del did that last year, but everyone seemed annoyed they had to participate!
I did have to leave a good man behind, which I feel terrible about, she’s got to get out of there as well though.
I could just about see myself growing old at this job. I could easily move into one of the JPO positions, or even do adult probation.
I am in such a good mood every day, I’m busy, but with interesting, changing things. Then I have days where I’m going to start reading during my down time. Tomorrow, Rene and I get to go clerk for the regular court tomorrow. Now that should be interesting! I can’t wait really…
I love this job!
