I’ve tried to start some sort of shawls a couple of different times. I’ve done the Flower Basket Shawl from IK, Karabella pattern KK139, one of the shawls from Victorian Lace Today. I’m sure I can find some more. I frogged them all for one reason or another. Yesterday I started the Charlotte’s Web Shawl from the Koigu lady. I don’t know how I feel about it yet. More later…

It was my mom’s old book. I will try to teach it to myself in my spare time. I’m crossing my fingers.

Make sure the old jeans aren’t warped when you sew them together! Otherwise it’ll look a bit funny ;)

But I have to put a belt on the top and trim on the bottom. Hopefully it turns out good…

I would like to finish it just to finish it because it’s just taking up room and making me feel not-so-good about myself!

I feel pretty accomplished when I make socks. They’re small and portable. I actually know someone who leaves sock knitting in her car just in case she is waiting somewhere and is itching to knit. :)

...really well! When I was 5 I saw him transcribe a song from the radio once and was amazed. As I get older I find that I wrote more and more. Shorthand would really help me.
