How I did it: eat the same thing at the same place quite frequently.by the time i walk in the restaurant my foot long roasted chicken breast on wheat is hitting the toaster, by the time i come out of the restroom it's already loaded with lettuce tomato banana peppers jalapeno peppers and light mayonnaise. then i toss out my card to be charged $5.30, talk with the folks i'm now on a first name basis with, then get back to work :) Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had quite for a year and a half in the past using the nicotine patch, but with my current job I sweat too much to use the patch again so I tried that Chantix which is basically the same thing as quitting cold turkey which I've never been able to do, but it doesn't give you a choice, it blocks the nicotine from stimulating the receptors in the brain that it pleases. Everyone quits differently and mine was a living hell, 2 anxiety attacks… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had always wanted to get in better shape, we all do, but we've become a generation of more talkers than doers. One day I just decided it was time for it to happen. Read how I did it…

the other day i wanted to try something new with chicken so i google’d italian dressing. i had some organic apple cider vinegar that i usually drink 2 tsp of a day in 1 liter of water. and some canola oil. so i figured i’d try to make my own italian dressing by mixing half a cup of apple cider vinegar wtih 2 cups of canola oil (better with olive oil)and some thyme, rosemary leaves, oregano, and garlic powder. added a little water, poked holes in the chicken breast and put it all in a pat and baked it @ ~450 for ~30min, and omg it was delicious. had some help and coaching from the old lady too ;)
i’m a “self-medicated” diagnosed type 2 bipolar patient. off all meds and therapy for over 10 years now and stronger than ever. there’s nothing really to say in the ways of how to do it, just do it. want to do it. i hated being a zombie on the antipsychotics and antidepressants and everything else. i also have rage epilepsy and i quit taking my anti seizure medicine (and all other prescription drugs) 10 years ago and haven’t had another seizure since. the depression can be very hard to manage at times, but you just have to believe in yourself. friends may come and go, family may not always be there, but you are always there, so be strong for yourself.
