i run. a friend of mine is big into dance and musical theatre, and he thought it’d be fun if he signed me up for his tap/jazz class. its an advanced class and i’d never danced a day in my life.
i’ve been doing it for a year, and i am now the best tapdancer in my class. i’ve never found something i’ve been so passionate about. and it came at the perfect time in my life…i think i’m going to be a dancer for my lifelong career.
tapdancing is outrageous, but i think you either love it or you don’t. it’s full of energy and passion and i STRONGLY recommend it.

i’m in my first musical, and tomorrow is opening night. i’m a member of fagin’s gang in Oliver! i must say that i’ve never had more fun. i’ve had 4 hour rehearsals daily since may 3rd, but its the best way to spend time.
you meet some of the most interesting, unique people, and its just in general a blast. i was terrified for the audition, but i made myself go through with it and its the best decision i’ve made. i’m not a lead or anything, but that’s fine with me. its my first musical, for crying out loud. hopefully i’ll get better so i can eventually do leads and supporting roles.
I ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO GET OUT THERE AND AUDITION! yes, its scary. theatre people have a creepy, scary auora about them. but its SO worth it. you’ll be so proud that you did, whether you make it or not.
