I can’t remember the last time I got dressed up in more than standard work/wedding/funeral attire. I’d love to have a reason to get dressed up in something a little more formal!

Remember when there was that fad where pictures were made from lots of little pictures? Like mosiac tiles. Anyhow, I have a puzzle of the world like that and it’s been on my shelf for ten years. I’ve done other puzzles in the meantime, but never had the time or space to get far with this one.
I have one I started years ago but abandoned when we moved, and a small one I haven’t even opened…
Ours is terribly hard. It hurts all my pressure points. But my husband loves it, and after seeing him suffer with a too soft mattress for years before this one, I can’t do that to him again. We’d have to go shopping together and compromise, but…let’s just say there are a lot of obstacles to overcome to achieve this goal – it won’t be easy.
If I get an idea in my head of something I’d like to do, it doesn’t take long before I talk myself out of it. I don’t deserve to…I have too many responsibilities…It would be selfish to…I shouldn’t…
I would like to stop doing that and give myself permission to do these things WITHOUT GUILT!
I think that would be the ultimate luxury – to be able to park my car out of the elements. To not have to scrape off ice or snow. We have a very large garage – it’s just full of tools, gardening items, sports equipment, toys, 4 wheelers, etc.
I used to sing all the time – then the three kids didn’t want me to sing to them anymore, they wanted me to be quiet so they could hear their own voices. Then came the tonsillectomy. I have been silent for 15 years and now when I try to sing it comes out croaky, and I lose my voice entirely after a few songs. Plus I am no longer a Soprano… I need to make a consious effort to do warm ups and keep working on this every day.
I guess it’s because I spent too much time watching “Love Boat” as a kid. Skip the Carribean, though. I’d like to go on an Alaskan cruise or Europe or the Mediterranean…
I’ve seen Broadway shows on tour, but have never been to NYC – and it’s kind of silly because I’m close enough that I could do a day trip – I’m just too scared.
