learn how to drive (read all 2 entries…)
first taste of freedom. 2 years ago

I drove a car for the first time with my aunt. even though I don’t have my permit yet so I think that was kind of illegal… it was so much fun. we went down her big driveway and she lives in the woods so the streets are winding and connected, we went around the block in a big circle. I couldn’t keep my foot of the break and turning was harder then I expected. and I only had to past one car. my aunt said considering it was my first time driving I did good. I can’t wait to go driving again!

find more poetry
the more unknown the poet is and the more abstract, the better. 2 years ago

So poetry is always something I liked, but never had the time to go and read some poems or figure out who my favorite poets were. and I’ve now decided on my favorite poet, Charles Bukowski, I love the poems Cause and Effect and Bluebird by him, along with a bunch of others. another one of my favorite poets is Mary Oliver. The Summer Day, Last Night The Rain Spoke To Me, and The Journey are some of my favorite poems by her. I like it when poems are a bit abstract and make you think. I don’t understand when people say they don’t understand a poem. to me poetry is suppose to mean all sorts of things for different people. the sort of thing were one person can take a poem to mean one thing, while another person takes it to mean something else, but neither person is wrong. it’s just they way they see the poem, because everyone is different, and that’s the great thing about this world. different points of view can open so many doors for ones mind.
