I am trying to incorporate more creative activities into my daily life. During basic training and tech school I obviously didn’t have the time to dedicate to my art and crafts hobby, but I really missed it and have felt for quite some time that something was missing! So I learned to knit a couple weeks ago and have made three scarves so far using some specialty yarn by Rico Designs. Above is a picture of the one I just finished tonight. It is so much fun and an excellent way to relax in the evenings, I plan on moving onto bigger projects in the near future.

How I did it: Everyday I tried to think of the high points and focus on what I was able to achieve and enjoy without spending money or worrying about having a plan that is set in stone. Each day I tried to make a list of things I would like to accomplish, but if I didn't get them all done I just moved it to the next day and tried not to beat myself up about it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: After you have had your heart broken a time or two, it is really hard to trust someone again and quit making comparisons to "the way things were" and "how they could be in the future w/mr. perfect". If you broke up with someone or were cheated on, there was probably a reason this happened. Nobody is perfect and people deserve a second chance, and maybe even a third chance. But you have to look out for yourself first.&nbs… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Once upon a time...I am a real life princess, no not actually, but my parents made me believe I was. I was an only child for a long time and during that time I was told, "you can be anything you want to be". Repeatedly. Over and over.Anything? Really? I sang, dance, played with Barbies, had fake Barbie weddings, I cut the blonde barbies hair short, because I didn't like them. I chose the brunette barbies that were … Read how I did it…

I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety lately and decided I need to make some significant changes so I don’t continue to feel this way on a regular basis.
Here are some major things I feel I need to address:
- Living a more healthy lifestyle – reduce alcohol intake, make better food choices, and being more active.
- Volunteering at organizations I believe in – good for the soul :)
- Make better use of my downtime – spend time with friends, talk to family, create art, travel, and generally enjoy life!
- Continue to try hard at work, but understand that my job doesn’t define me – I am so much more than a title and a girl behind a desk!
- Get back on track spiritually – I miss attending church and shouldn’t be afraid to go, even if I’m going alone.
