It struck me the other day, just randomly. I would love to buy a double kayak and take my son out. I want to be more outdoorsy. I want him to grow up outside, loving the great outdoors.

How I did it: After we bought out house, my son and I went to the ASPCA, just too look...ha. Yeah, right! We found a young female brindle pit bull who wagged her tail and smiled at us. She brought her home and she and our other young female pit get along fantastically. It's obvious to anyone that they adore eachother and are very glad to have a sister! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I graduated as an RN in December of 2009 and began working nights in January. A couple of weeks before my 24th birthday I closed on my first house, and I love it! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I applied with a couple of different agencies and was matched through one before my paperwork was even completed! Less than 3 months later we were cycling, and now I'm 8 and a half weeks pregnant with their little baby:) Sick, but excited!! Read how I did it…

I work(ed) for a self employed potter. Traveling to art shows with her, I ran across several different artists who worked with a glass medium. I’ve also become fascinated with foil beads, and I would love to learn how to make them! I think creating art in any medium is a lot of fun, and while I don’t think that I possess much raw talent, I think that I’m interested enough to learn well.
I’ve looked into classes, but the closest I can find is an hour away. When I can afford it, I hope to take their Intro to Hot Glass class- it’s a 4 hour seminar on Saturdays.
I made my dream blanket!
I love it. It’s thick, warm, soft, and luxurious. The top is made out of 8×8 inch squares of crushed velvet- red, blue, orange, green, purle and light brown- beautiful jewel tones. The bottom is a wonderful gold satin, smooth and warm.
I love going to sleep under something I created. I love tucking my son under my own work on the mornings that I have to leave before he gets up. I leave him swaddles in my love and time and effort and dream.
I’m so glad I did this!
