move to San Francisco

Picked up and moved out here from Atlanta with a couple of friends (fulfilling a long-held dream to flee the east coast). Time for me to move on (to Portland for a new job) after only 4 months, but every day I had here was worth it.

So many people here have a love affair with their city, and love their lives as a result. What more could you ask for in a place?

exercise regularly

I’m moving to Portland, OR in a few weeks, and it rains, rains, rains a ton there. So… I must exercise regularly or I’ll be sad, sad, sad the entire winter.

To start: A list of activities that I actually enjoy, like dancing and rock climbing, with running at the very bottom of the list. (I usually try to trick myself into thinking that running is fun, but it’s hard to keep up the enthusiasm for long.) No trickery this time though! Just a set of things that I’ll look forward to.

Hhmmm… Maybe I’ll get a bike… I don’t have a lot of experience riding in the city, with cars, though. Anyone have any thoughts or advice on this?

Well, this is actually happening. I found an apartment last week. Yikes, I’m really going! In 2 weeks!
