Worth doing. 4 years ago

If you can swing it. If you’re planning to take some time off, plan on having things to do to fill the void. Get caught up on your reading, travel, spend time with family. If you live in a US rat race area, you may there’s no one to hang out with because everyone’s at work and no one works part time! You may also find that you miss the relationships you had with your coworkers and the “watercooler talk”.

But yes, it’s definitely worth doing, especially if you’re planning to go on a sabbatical. It’s been an amazing spiritual journey for me. I never planned on it . . I travelled to Australia (once in a lifetime stuff), learned so much about myself and what I wanted out of life . . A word of warning though – with the pretenses of work stripped away, you’ll have to come face to face with your issues.

All in all it’s been quite an amazing journey. Defintely more life experience than the 6 previous years I was working.

meditate every day
30 minutes in the morning and 4 years ago

30 minutes at night will change your life. I know we’ve all heard this before, but a consistent daily practice will change You, and the way You look at everything. I’ve read many meditation/metaphysical books, and meditation is one of the few things that can have profound effect on your life, longterm.

leave california
Yep, things have gotten 4 years ago

So bad here that you wonder why people are still lining up to pay $600k and upwards for a house here. I’ve lived in the Bay Area my whole life and it just staggers me how far and hard its fallen. Geez, social graces don’t even exist here anymore.
