I went to a british summer camp where the free time options were like, swimming, soccer, and FENCING. So yeah, I choose the good one, and apparently my 12-year-old self was pretty good at it. Unfortunately never had the time to pursue it at home, but I can beat my little sister with a drinking straw! -

How I did it: with pencils, paper. by just doing it every day, and not listening to what drawing is "supposed" to look like. It helped that I took a drawing course over the summer that required doing 100 sketches from life. It was tedious as hell! But my personal drawing got immensely better. Read how I did it…
living in Ontario, I figured I would never be north enough to see the northern lights, but one night a few years ago my sister came crashing into everyone’s room, waking my whole family up at 2 in the morning to see them. Amazingly beautiful, and so weird to see them right in my backyard. We all walked to the park behind our house and saw the shimmering bands, mostly pink and white and blue and green. My boyfriend tried to take a picture on a digital camera, but it didn’t really work. They lasted a looong time, too… like 2 hours? Very cool.
