I lived in S. Korea and Chile. I would not recommend S. Korea at all. Chile was good for the right type of person. Regardless, learning a new language, being exposed to a different culture, etc really builds character.

I moved back home after living abroad for three years and picking up a new language which makes me trilingual. I have been looking for a job, career, or something to do that pays for the past 1.5 months and I can’t believe no one has hired me. I am either overqualified or don’t have the necessary qualifications for the job.
I am college educated from a well known university and worked in a major corp. after graduation. My three year hiatus to another part of the world is not impressing any employer. I just hope that companies are just using their non-paid interns in lieu of hiring me. The thing that frustrates me the most is that I can live abroad and instantly get a very well paying job but here in my own country that’s not that case. And no I don’t want to live abroad… for now.
