Run 50 miles this summer (obviously not all at once)! (read all 4 entries…)
Upgrade to running

I barely met this goal, but was able to finish it this morning (it’s still technically summer, although most people don’t count September).

Basically I was able to start a running habit by making myself run. A revolutionary concept I know, but I guess that’s the point of Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign.

well, I’m going there to write this now, so wait an hour or so. :)

Write something daily (read all 2 entries…)
Making it a habit

Writing is easy – it really is. Of course, I haven’t tried the goal of writing something good yet, but I’m not in any rush. Everyday we encounter things worth writing about and as soon as I realized that, I was never hard pressed for topics. I now have a blog I semi-regularly post to, and am even writing about things that have little to do with me. I only hope these skills I’m trying to develop will be used for something greater.

Watch all of Hitchcock's movies (read all 7 entries…)
I watched another great one :) (and rewatched another)

I am not sure why Young and Innocent is so overlooked when people list Hitchcock films, but I know I will no longer leave it out. The characters weren’t exactly relatable, but they were fun to watch. Some parts were a little forced/predictable, but I had no trouble going with them. It wasn’t a perfect movie, but I loved watching it. It also contains some great comments.

I am rewatched Sabotage and am not sure why I didn’t previously like it. I loved the progressions of understanding for the characters and watching their actions and reactions. They are people with flaws, and I was amazed at some of the plot decisions Hitchcock made. In one scene of amazing suspense, I was actually surprised at the end (which is rare). Anyway, now I might have to rewatch a few more. :)
