wake up earlier (read all 3 entries…)
the problem is: why do I even worry about what time I get up?

I don’t have to up at any time or be anywhere.
My kids are out of the house. My husband works shift and sometimes he not home when I go to sleep.
I have to set my own schedule and I just get up at 9:30 or later.

Clean out my closet. (read all 2 entries…)
gawd, I'm just avoiding doing this

mostly I can’t face that my clothes don’t fit.
That half of what I have I never wear even if it doesn’t fit.
I am that rare woman who has exactly two skirts(I don’t wear pants) I like and wear all the time and another 5 tops.
the rest is stuff I keep to wear to weddings, and parties and special occasions.
Don’t you wish you could just rent clothes?

I think that maybe I’ll be doing this as a blogging challenge/

i have a week long streak going.

As soon as I have some spare cash, I’m going to become a patron at 750.words.

It’s really helping me. I’m doing it finally, just doing it.

back to basics. 750words.com

i started to use this site again. I like the badges. I get a prize for writing, I write more.
i couldn’t keep it up in my Penzu journal alone. I find that once I write my 750 words, cr** words mostly, I then do go to Penzu and write again.
So I recommend 750words.com for those of you who are finding they have a hard time writing consistently.
Now to take my own advice…bye bye

i signed up on goodreads.com again

binadaat if you want to follow me.
I’m ahead of schedule and I don’t have anything to read this week. I bought some books on the bookdepository.com. Highly recommend the site; they have shipping included in the price and they ship anywhere in the world.

Finished the Fear Index by Robert Harris

it was okay. not bad not good. It was supposed to be more profound and scary but it just didn’t work for me.

I guess if I stop everything, and I mean everything

I can get to this goal.
but, I have other stuff I hvae to work on that take up my time that I can’t put off: wedding plans, household stuff, and I’m crocheting for my son. I don’t know if I ‘ll get there but I have read 62 BOOKS this year!! that’s a lot more than a book a week, my other reading goal!

maybe if I re read all the Berenstain bears books…

Finished the Burning by Jane Casey

This started out so good. A psychological crime story. Good main character and a good bad guy opponent. Then the last third just fell apart. She changed the point of view to another character, and ending the story with a letter from the bad guy that “told” the whole story. BORING. She should re write this!

finished Fault Line by Robert Goddard

Not much on the plot to “fault” in terms of action. Lots of action.
But the why of story was very thin.
If there was a greater theme, I missed it.
He writes entertaining thriller mystery types with a good protagonist vs a very evil villain.
can’t recommend this one, though, unless you are stuck with it some place, like a plane or jail and that is all there is to read…

finished The Ministry of Pain

It was a different book. Literary style without the BS. Good translation. I “enjoyed” it if that is possible considering it was a heavy subject: expat/refugees from the former Yugoslavia.
Expat I have some experience with. It was done nicely.
this sounds so trite.
She was able to dig down into the emotions and reality of living outside your culture, and the reality of war victims. War has many causalities, that weren’t hit by bombing or shooting. If you get out of the war zone, you carry it with you. There’s guilt, survivors guilt, and shame. She hit on these themes and much more, some deeper and some mundane, like looking for your favorite foods. (the stomach is always last to emigrate)

Finished Once Upon a Time, There Was You

by Elizabeth Berg who has some nice ideas for books and I just don’t like what she does with them. Her dialog is unreal; people may talk like this in their kitchens, but in books they don’t talk like that. Then there is the little issue of the dialog moving the story forward.
I don’t know why I finished this book of hers. It’s only the second one that I read cover to cover. The others I tried to read, I just quit after my 50 page limit: try to read it and quit if it doesn’t work after 50 Pages.

maybe I should.

This was such a good book. so different. she made the flash backs work with the present day story so well, it added to the tension and flow of the story line.
