I’m not even sure I ever really liked soda. But because it was convenient and it was what was suggested with every meal (ADVERTISEMENTS) and others around me were ordering soda because they love it and are addicted to it…I would order it too. I would get refills to go also. My stomach would hurt an hour later and I’d have an awful taste in my mouth. I decided to start cutting back about a month ago. Maybe only have the one soda (no refill or to-go drink). Then it was limited to the type of food (only soda with pizza & hotdogs). Then it was limited to an activity (only at the movies, only when mixed with alcohol). Eventually I just stopped ordering soda all together. Water is better for me, cheaper, and I can have as many refills as I want. I no longer feel controlled by soda and I see so many people struggle with it. I can’t recall the last time I had a soda.
