My little baby boy arrived five weeks early! I guess he couldn’t wait to get here.
He was already 6.1 pounds and had to spend a few days in a neonatal unit, but is now home and in good health.
What a wonderful experience. Definitely worth it!

How I did it: It was 1996, and my boyfriend at the time and I decided that it would be nice to have a dog, a small-ish one as we lived in an apartment. I had never had a dog when I was a kid, but I always loved them and always wanted one. I used to offer to walk other people's dogs just because I enjoyed it so much. Well, a few weeks after we made that decision, we were driving along the highway near Santa Cruz, and we saw a small dog running aro… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I hadn't quite planned at this time to quit drinking coffee, but what happened was I got into a disagreement with my manager, and the next morning I was still feeling so stressed about the argument that I didn't want any coffee. I felt so jittery as it was, I thought coffee would make it worse.I didn't have any coffee that day. The next day I felt a bit better, but realizing I had already gone a day without, I thought maybe it would be a … Read how I did it…
...weighed at my last doctor’s appointment two weeks ago, and I’ve gained 9 kilos total. Which is approximately 20 pounds. So I’m already over 15 but not yet at 25. Still another nine weeks or so to go and I’m craving chocolate all.the.time. So I might end up going slightly over the 25 mark. But you know, at this point, that’s ok. The doctor is not concerned about my weight gain, and I’m trying to exercise as much as possible, walking and yoga (not as much as I would like, admittedly). I just have been listening to my body and what it wants, more often than not, that is green leafy vegetables, organic cheese or steamed fish, but it sometimes is a big mac and large fries, and an icy coke. I also seem to be craving coca cola a lot, which is weird because before being pregnant I never used to drink it and thought it was evil. But these days it’s so refreshing, I have a coke with ice about three times a week. Ah well. This has been a big adventure and I’m just glad at least I haven’t gained 70 pounds, if I go five pounds over my projected limit it’s not the end of the world. A healthy baby is the most important….hopefully I won’t give birth to a chocolate Easter bunny, with all the chocolate I’ve been eating…
