I think I predicted it. I haven’t settled in anywhere yet, so I’ve been using that as an excuse to not get involved anywhere. I keep telling myself I won’t be sticking around very long, so why bother meeting new people.

Not going at all well!

It’s been several months since I last logged on here and a lot has changed in the meantime. I quit my job and moved back to the U.S. all motivated to start off in a new direction, but things haven’t worked out that way. On the weight front, instead of losing 20lbs, I’ve gained 20. With that and other things, I’m pretty miserable lately. Now I’m trying to motivate myself to start exercising again. Aside from the health benefits, I’m sure it would help my mental state.

It will be too easy to lock myself away and just surf the web and watch TV. Wherever I land, I need to put an effort into developing a new circle of friends. This has been a long term problem for me. Moving is a chance to start over and do better this time.
