i think i undid any good i’ve done at the humane society. i was cleaning lyle’s cage in the quarentine room. i’d let him out to walk around on the floor and get some exercise (i hate seeing the cats stuck in those cages all day) and there were a couple cats on the bottom row of cages. he walked around for a while, stopped by oliver’s cage, and started getting pissy. they were growling and i was afraid one would strike at the other, so i pulled lyle away from oliver’s cage to put him in an empty one while i finished cleaning his. when i was pulling him back, he turned around and bit my arm. i went to the med room to get some bandages and stuff, because i had 3 punctures wounds in my arm, went to the hospital because lyle hadn’t been vaccinated for rabies yet, got a call from the lee who works in the med room, and found out they’d put lyle to sleep. i feel like i murdered lyle. i know nobody reads this, but i had to get it out of my system. i guess i won’t be letting cats out of their cages anymore.

my partner in crime and i rescued a stray cat over the weekend. we gave her a place to stay until we could take her to the humane society that i volunteer for. she’s frostbitten and probably worm-y, but the awesome folks at the humane society will help her get back to being a healthy girl and hopefully she’ll be adopted soon!
