I ended up managing a bar for a while too. As cool as this goal was, it’s definitely something I would be cautious about getting stuck with. It’s not the best career choice, and I’d hate to still be working bars when I’m 30.

I love bar tending. I finally accomplished this goal by landing a job at an old club I used to work at a few years ago. I basically get paid to dance on the bar, look hot, and make simple drinks because people don’t really get all that creative. It was much easier than I anticipated, and I’ve learned to make some crazy shit just playing around with the other bar tenders.
I recommend everyone get off their ass and accomplish this goal already. It’s the highest paying job you can have as a college student without a degree and it’s tons of fun.
I’ve got a job interview this coming Saturday at a bar I’ve been wanting to work at for years. I applied as a server with a hopeful intention to get some bartending training in the future.
One step at a time…
Here we go!
