Japan is an amazing place to visit and live. Just beware when working there! I recommend the former, but deplore the latter.

How I did it: Working on it in pieces on evenings and weekends, and saving throughout the year. Breaking all tasks into manageable subtasks, and treating the process like a hobby. Read how I did it…
Japan is an amazing place. I spent two years teaching there in a high school as an ALT and in an eikaiwa. The people are very giving and polite; however, working there is not a good move. Working in Japan is difficult without much gain. Visit Japan, learn Japanese, make Japanese friends and lovers, celebrate its culture- all of that I whole-heartedly applaud and encourage, I just don’t recommend the stressful, odd working conditions. I would live and travel in Japan, and make Japanese friends as often as I possible; I’d even work there if I could be my own boss. But working in Japan for an existing programme/corporation isn’t recommended.
