I went to give blood this morning – my second attempt ever. The screener said they couldn’t take my blood because I lived in England for at least 3 months between 1980-1982. Apparently this was a good time to contract Mad Cow disease. The Center for Disease control only has one way to test to see whether you have it and that requires the removal and analysis of brain tissue. I signed up for a vacation giveaway and hey, at least I tried. Even though I haven’t donated yet I’m still convinced it’s worth it. I’m going to keep it on my list and try again in future.
I hear that it’s more fun that windsurfing. Time to make my own assessment.
