How I did it: I just wrote a lot of reviews, and made sure I got my friends to read them. They rated them, I gave people compliments and got compliments back. How I did it: I looked on Craigslist and scheduled some lessons with a student from Berklee Conservatory of Music. They're cheap and he's not a professional, but he knows more than me and that's all the matters! I make sure I practice at least half an hour every day, and 45 minutes at least one or two days. How I did it: Every week I put aside 60% of my paycheck into my savings account. I had to cut down on my shopping, and I started going to the grocery store a lot more instead of eating out.
