Today I am happy because my allergies subsided after two tissue boxes and 38 hours of sneezing, wheezing and difficulty in normal functioning and breathing.
I also am grateful to realise that the people I now surround myself with are wonderful, happy, healthy people and who are a great influence on me.
The last thing I am happy about is vgtsgirl is still vgtsgirl and hopefully for a long time.



stop biting my nails
When is it official that you have stopped?

trying to work out when I can be officially cleared as “a has been” in the nail biting department? Or is it like the AA where you are always an addict and thus are sober from chewing for so many days, weeks, months and years?
I am hoping to put it as maybe one year without biting a nail.

These are my ideas for it so far that are helping me:

Stress is my number one reason for biting, therefore try my best to acknowledge when stressed and look for alternative source of calmant.

If it brakes, you must remove it with scissors or clipper. Encouraging to rip it off with your teeth makes the withdrawals of not biting worse.

A weakened nail makes it more vulnerable to biting thus no trying to chip or wear away at the end of the nail.

The length of a good nail must not extend too far over the finger otherwise YOU WILL PLAY AND WEAKEN THE GROWN NAIL END.

Nail polish applied is not there to chip away.

The bitterstuff applied like nail polish does not work, after enough sucking (like those sour lollies) it wear away for the lovely (now softened) nail to chew.
