Buy a House
It'll be a few years. 2 weeks ago

Since my husband and I have only been married a few months and both have student debt, etc., we really are content to continue renting a townhome until we’ve saved enough to put a really substantial down payment on a house. We know that interest rates are good right now, but buying a house while you have a negative worth just doesn’t seem smart—no matter how stellar of an interest rate you can get. A larger down payment will mean a shorter mortgage period for us, so a huge goal of ours is waiting for the right time … which ISN’T right now. One day, though. :)

Now that I live in Texas, this goal is more important than ever. Not only would I get paid more for knowing the language—I would function better in general here. I’m planning to buy Rosetta Stone soon. Several people have told me that it really is the way to go, so we’ll see.
