I’m soooo excited to be in Hawaii this very instant! It’s been raining intermittently since we got here yesterday, but it’s still beautiful! I did a little sightseeing tonight, hit a few meetings here, and bought some goodies for friends back home. Tomorrow we’re heading to Waimea Bay and other areas, and the next day Diamond head, Hanauma Bay, and other beautiful areas! I can’t wait to have my breath taken away!!!

How I did it: I traveled for six months and lived out of a suitcase for those six months, so I became accustomed to having minimal items. When I returned home from the tour I was overwhelmed by the amount of crap in my storage shed....things I'd accumulated over many years and had been moving around for way too long. So I began the process of sorting through, asking myself questions about how often I really used it, was I really going to finish t… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was in the Philippines for a month and the drivers there blew me away. There are lines on the road, but no one pays attention to them, traffic is non-stop and doesn't move. There are people standing in the roads attempting to sell you things, trikes, bikes, scooters all over the roads, and pretty much no one pays attention to the rules of the road. This helped me regarding being stuck in traffic....because America… Read how I did it…
How I did it: When I was 20 I had my hair blue and always wanted to do it purple. I hadn't dyed my hair since before 2005 because I was growing it out to donate it to Lock of Love. When I finally had the length I got it chopped and then highlighted my hair and then dyed the highlights purple. hotness!ps. the picture doesn't do it justice. Read how I did it…

I’m currently a mental health worker at a residential treatment facility for extremely troubled youths. I find it to be very challenging at times, yet also very rewarding. I pray before each day, letting go of the previous day and starting anew. I am there for the children. “What comes from the heart reaches the heart.” I try to be as loving, honest, and firm that I can. When I go home I think about the day and how I can improve the way that I handle situtaions. I feel I am exactly where God wants me to be, considering I attempted to leave several times and then got this job.
Also, in the winter I’m a snowboard instructor. So yes, you can say, that I work a job that I love. =)
I’ve come to realize that I have everything that I need within myself. I am complete, I am perfectly imperfect…just the way God created me. Any void that had existed has been filled with the Spirit of God and I find joy in each day I am blessed with the gift of life. One has to be willing to change…to face pain, to face fear, to let go in order to grow and experience true freedom. I am by no means finished growing, but I love and accept myself just the way I am. =)
