be a better catholic
Better? yes. Perfect? no. 1 year ago

I’ve tried really hard lately and I think I can now safely say I’m a better catholic. I’m a cradle catholic so the whole going to mass thing was pretty much built in, thing is it became routine and I didn’t really get much out of it. Now I enjoy mass, I socialise with other catholics, I joined the choir and the St Vincent de Paul society which means I get to go and talk to old people in care homes who have no one to visit them! I’m also saying the rosary almost every day.

I’m still going to keep trying to do more though. Definitely worth it!!

Give blood

Moved house so didn’t know where the blood donor centre was. I was walking home with a girl I’d just met and we walked past the centre! So I convinced her to come in with me and we gave blood! Yay! Arm slightly achy but worth it – so many free cookies and cakes!!!

get my hair done

Decided I couldn’t afford my usual cut and colour so I did it myself instead with a little help from my flatmate and a pair of scissors. I also dyed my hair myself too….turned out a little darker than I’d hoped but oh well! Saved myself about £50! YAY!
