How I did it: After a few months away, I actually injured my hip flexor in a yoga class, just at the moment when I was considering "Isn't yoga great in that it's impossible to hurt yourself". Goes to show that ego really gets in the way. I like to experience different teachers' take on the poses, which are basically the same. That way, I always hear a new tidbit or image that really makes a difference in continually expanding my horizons. Mechanically,… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Honestly, I just put most of the papers into a box labeled "unsorted papers" (because I can't decide yet if certain financial papers are worth saving or filing). And I put some office supplies in a handy place. Staplers seem like a must to keep papers together. I did file and throw out a bunch of papers too. The nice thing about their accumulating is that I could see all the low-priority events/issues that I let slide over the months (wel… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got lots of support of all kinds. Only after the halfway mark did I get impatient to be done, and then I had to find the joy in pulling together all the work I had been doing. As far as the mechanics, take the GRE and GRE subject test (if needed). Have enough time to get recommendation letters. I made sure my grades were good enough to get into a school that provided research fellowships. I applied and interviewed. I tried not to get too… Read how I did it…

I think I did this! It was fun! The key is to have a nice journal you enjoy. Start it with happy thoughts and make it remind you of happy thoughts. I am so proud when I can remind myself of the unbelievable wisdom and reassurance I have inside.
I am visualizing walking into my boss’ office. I will not be fazed by his ignoring me. I will ask for his support and his advice. He loves giving advice, but he has forgotten about me because I have not been talking to me. He wants to help me, and even if he doesn’t, it’s my responsibility to tell him what I need from this situation. He wants me to learn and be productive.
