Goal Weight: 135-140

I’ve just reached my first mini goal of 5 pounds. I’m really ready to complete this goal too. Once I’m down to in the low 150s I’ll be very comfortable. I was at this weight or lower for over a year, but then wedding planning and home buying stress combined with a stressful job bumped me up 15 pounds over time.

I’m most sticking to counting calories and trying to stay in the 1500-1600 calorie a day range. I may need to drop it some more in the future, but right now that seems to be working for me.

I usually give myself the weekends off to eat more, but still reasonably. I didn’t do so well this weekend, in part due to hanging out with friends and eating crap or too much healthy stuff. I’m worried about the next two weekends, because I’m going out of town with friends and then we’re having a big party. So I’m going to try to focus on being as healthy during the week as possible and then reasonable on the weekends.

After a 2 week plateau I finally lost 1.6 pounds, which brought me down below my first 5 pounds! I had been planning on getting a new computer for some time and made that the reward for the first 5 pounds. I think sometimes the first 5 are the easiest and the hardest at the same time. It’s hard for me to really make the changes I need to, but then the first few pounds usually fly off. I think it really helped me to focus.

Now I’m off to my next goal. Lose 10 pounds, which is only 4 pounds away :)

Water weight? 7 months ago

Goal Weight: 135-140

I lost another 2 pounds this week, and I’m not quite sure how I managed that two weeks in a row, but I’m very happy with it. Maybe it’s water weight, but that has to come off too. I’ve also lost 2” off my waist and hips combined since I started.

I averaged in the high 1600’s a day in calories, though I’m estimating a lot of meals, so maybe I’m estimating high. Not sure. When in doubt I estimate high I think. I think I was pretty active this week, but I did have a couple of headache days, sadly.

I hope I can lose the last pound for this goal this week, and move on to the next 5.
