I haven’t blacked out in exactly 4 weeks today. That shouldn’t be an accomplishment, but it is the first time I’ve been able to say that in about two years.
I’ve cheated and drank a few times since then – including the past two nights, thereby cheating myself out of today because of my hangover – but I don’t want to cheat anymore. I want tomorrow, March 30, to be my first day of sobriety, with ZERO tolerance. I’ve cut back significantly, but every drop poisons me. Every drop is one closer to drowning again.
It’s not going to be easy, but my hope is that it will be worth it. Wish me luck.
I got TWO in one day!!! I filled out AT LEAST 35 applications, and it took more than a month of intense job-searching, but I finally did it!!!
Now I just need to be awesome and keep both jobs…
DO NOT QUIT, IT WILL HAPPEN.
