i’ll never forget the first time i saw coldplay…it was at the mayan theater in LA, the day before valentines day…the year was about 2001…it was phenomenal.
the 2nd time was at KROQ’s almost acoustic xmas, which was a much larger venue, but being in the pit made it still an amazing experience.
i’d love to see them play again, but can’t help but feel that i’ve already seen them at their very best…in a small, crowded bar, playing songs off of parachutes…

How I did it: trying and failing. in my past jobs, i scraped together enough secretarial experience to make me look good, and my college degree lent itself nicely (sociology) to dealing with people from other backgrounds. Read how I did it…
realizing that the things that i own should not own me was a reality that set in once i realized that having a “status symbol” on my arm couldn’t be less important.
while i still admire fancy bags and clothes, i realize that they’re just bags and clothes…having the means to buy, doesn’t mean i should…
it’s not formal lessons, but i’ve practiced for an hour every day during my lunch break at work…it’s something that i look forward to all morning…
i’ve missed playing for so long…having not really played (apart from the occasional plunking down at someone’s house, and picking out a few songs) for about 10 years, and yet, it’s all coming back to me…it’s amazing…
