Started this year with a goal of creating a little herb garden on my south side deck (lots of sun). However life got nutty and ended up with little time to focus on this goal and prep the area. I finally got planters in July and later in July soil and seeds.
My neighbour in the complex has been kind enough to give some green thumb tips and a couple of tomato plants. As a result, I planted the tomato plants (instead of the seeds) and think I will work on my herbs (seeds) next spring so they are seedlings and then transplant them into my empty planter for next summer to cultivate.
As a result, we just harvested our first little heirloom tomato. And we have a couple more on the way (but they are still green). Looking forward to make a tomato salad or salsa. YUM!

Working and been putting little by little away and saving and when I hit 1,000 dollars I take it and put it against my credit card. So far, I am down to owing only 6k now! wooohooo!!!
As a treat hubbie and I are going on vacation in September. I am hoping to clear all of this away by the end of the year and this year is looking very promising that I can finally complete this goal. THanks for the cheers and the comments!!

to join her in this class. And then I invited my BFF to join, too!
The instructor, Julio, is great and has wonderful rapport and breaks down the moves easily. He makes the class practice the moves and then puts them together.
We are having lots of fun and laughing at ourselves! It is 10 classes long and we just finished our 5th class. We have planned to go to a Salsa event in May to check out a Salsa band that is coming to Vancouver. And maybe try our dance moves on the dance floor there. May need a little liquid courage, too!
