just took a short trip to DC to view the Turner and Hopper shows at the National Gallery. it’s hard to understate the power and grace of many of the works for their. i made a conscious effort to approach their respective qualities and intentions (as well we can imagine them) in these images.

with year’s end comes a change. it usually turns quite cold with storms fairly common. after, bright blue skies illuminate a new landscape. it’s clean and crisp and you can feel your breathe again. trees ice glazed sound chimes in the breeze.
now this guy is capturing life’s rich tapestry. i just stumbled across his paper cuts on his web site. what a stirring collection of hopeful and bittersweet work. i’m moved.
they’re designing toys? i gotta admit some of these make me wonder how the kids that get them are going to grow up or if these even are for kids.
