I saw Richard II last summer in Vancouver, BC. Awesome production. I highly recommend Bard On the Beach.
Here’s what I have left to see:
Antony and Cleopatra
Coriolanus
Cymbeline
King Henry VI part 1
King Henry VI part 2
King Henry VIII
Pericles, Prince of Tyre
The Two Noble Kinsmen
I was supposed to see Henry VIII in Ashland last summer but my trip got derailed. Oh well!
I realized today that I’ve read all but three. One isn’t at our library. But I should make a point of finishing this!
I’ve got a crazy book dragon illustration project that I’m documenting the creation of in a one-of-a-kind dragon-shaped accordion book I’m also making. It’s pretty cool and way fun and a bit of a task.
I did this. It is quite possible the coolest reading journal EVER! I love it and I hope it lasts me years. I also bought a cool separate reading journal for picture books—I like to keep track of which ones I’ve read from the library. It’s an awesome book.
I’ve tried to see them on purpose so many times… and when did I actually see them? I saw them while driving to the Canadian Rockies from Vancouver, BC. I saw them along the road of all places—while going over a mountain pass. There were two of them. Big, white, long hair, and grazing around some rocks. Very cool! I was floating on air all day. Now only if I’d see an Orca…
I saw a great version of King Henry IV parts 1 and 2 this past October. Also saw King Lear and Titus Andronicus (which I’d seen in movie form) in September. Here’s the plays I have left to go:
Antony and Cleopatra
Coriolanus
Cymbeline
King Henry VI part 1
King Henry VI part 2
King Henry VIII
King Richard II
Pericles, Prince of Tyre
The Two Noble Kinsmen
I’ve seen 29 of the plays, though! Pretty good. I do wish I could have made it to Ashland this summer to see Coriolanus. I heard the production was awesome.
I just removed a bunch of goals that are more like dreamy maybes. I’m wanting to really prioritize lately, especially since having a kid. It makes me want to really face the biggest of my dreams.
My stamps are so pretty, but for now, I am letting this go. I have so many other things that mean more to me. Especially since having a kid, I really need to make choices.
My son makes me laugh the most genuinely I’ve ever laughed. When he laughs, I do too. It’s just too irresistible and contagious.
I finally have started submitting articles (in addition to book dummies and illustration samples) yea for me!
Have neglected my 43 things account for quite some time. Last Summer I had an amazing time in Ashland with my mom and saw three more plays! I saw King John, The Merry Wives of Windsor and The Two Gentleman of Verona. They were all great! The Merry Wives of Windsor was probably amongst the best of any version of any Shakespeare play I’ve seen. I think that leaves 13 plays I haven’t seen.
And I havn’t had any time for most anything on my list since—and it pretty much all needs to be prioritized better now anyway.
Maybe another time. I’ve decided I’ve got enough going on and that I’d rather prioritize other stuff.
I finally did this but I have to admit I realized after getting it going that it just is not my first priority to keep such a thing updated. I have enough exciting things to do and I’ve already decided to let it go after having it only a brief time. It would have been cool but I’m just not into it or passionate about it at this time. Maybe another time. Better to keep up with stuff I’m passionate about.
I made significant progress with this one this year, but I’m not going to finish by the end of 2006 as I had hoped. I’m still aiming to get most finished by the time my baby is born in March. My sister is helping me so I’ll keep my fingers crossed
I actually decided instead of putting the catalog on my regular website I put up an etsy craft shop and linked to it from my site. It makes it so I don’t have to personally learn all the secure website stuff myself. I just finished it last week and I’ve already made a couple of sales online!
