I tried to find out my blood type this week, but apparently nobody knows my blood type. I went to the doctor for something else and thought I’d ask him about my blood type as well. He told me that when your blood is tested they don’t check your blood type, unless you or a doctor specifically asked for it. So there was nothing in my file. Kind of weird, since it might be important to know your blood type.
I thought this goal would be easy, but it might be a while before I can cross it off. I don’t expect to need a blood test any time soon.

How I did it: I needed to just get this over with, so I sat down and got started by making a few nice backgrounds. That gave me some ideas of how I would place text and images on the website and I made a rough sketch of the structure and what the website should look like in illustrator. I picked the colours and fonts I wanted to use and started piecing the site together in flash. I took small steps and little by little the site started looking better a… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought ice-skates at a fleamarket and had lots of patience... It was a long time until there was a harsh enough winter for good ice to form. The first 10 minutes or so always feel a bit awkward if you haven't been on the ice for a long time, but then your body seems to remember how to move and you're off! Read how I did it…
Frida Kahlo and her work are a great source of inspiration for me. I’d love to feel what it’s like to walk around in her house and see how she lived.
It’s about time I saw a bit of the world. I’ve always wanted to travel and now that I’m about to graduate it’s time to start planning.
Japan is the first far away country I want to travel to, because it’s such an interesting mix between eastern and western, ancient culture and futuristic cities.
I’d like to go for one month, this June to be exact. So I’ll keep working on my graduation projects and when I need some distraction I can do research about travelling in Japan. It’s a great thing to look forward to. And hopefully it will keep me motivated.
If you have any tips about Japan, let me know!
