I’m a full-time zookeeper, sorry, KG teacher. I hate getting up so early, and once my kids school fees are deducted, the pay is…disapointing, but I’m working! Honest sweat of my brow and all that. Feels good, and I love my colleagues.
The kids aren’t too bad, even, and I’m getting to see that the nicest part of teaching children (I’ve only taught adults before, professionally that is) is seeing their behaviour and characters improve. Yeah, it’s nice that some are starting to read, but seeing them show good manners that weren’t there before, seeing them try to please and getting all happy with little rewards, I could get used to it :)

We’re now starting in on our 4th month of school! That shows how long I’ve neglected this site. I really appreciate having time apart from them, and they do too. It makes our together time more valuable. Plus, I don’t have to worry about teaching them, just checking homework – except my youngest who is actually in my class at the school I work in. The main downside is that they keep getting sick, this has never happened before! Man, those kids are eating a looooot of garlic now, I bet their teachers love them :)

I’m back in (internet) action, and I’ve done this at last! At times I didn’t think I’d make it, I’ve been so stressed that I was twice brought to tears. I NEVER want to emigrate again, not when single and in the space of a month, that is, and almost constantly in sole charge of 3 hyper boys.
I just arrived the day before yesterday, and I’m a happy girl right now. I left quite a bit of stuff back in my house, though, but my lovely friend and younger brother’s wife is clearing up for me. What would I have done without her?
This one is DONE!
