I scored a 167 on the September LSAT after a month of studying. Not bad, but not great either. I got 0 wrong on reading comprehension, and 4 wrong in the two logical reasoning, so almost all my wrong answers were in the logic games. Why? I didn’t finish. I was used to practicing with a digital timer, so only have a watch REALLY threw me off. Lesson learned. I know I can improve and I’m only a junior, so I’ll drill more (this time with a watch!!!) and take it again in February.

How I did it: I just don't bring it home with me from the store. Sometimes I make it or order it at restaurants, but limiting it to that keeps it mostly out of my life. It takes a long time to make a good cake and I don't eat out too much. I also sometimes buy it while traveling, which is a problem because I travel so much, but in that case I try to buy really really small portions and snacks that have some redeeming factor so they don't just make me f… Read how I did it…
I thought I was eating a lot, but at least half of my favorites, like peppers and zucchini, are actually fruit from a botanical perspective. Does this make me a cheater?
Oh well, I did add things like kale and chard to my diet, and even a few roots like radishes. Sort of hit a wall with smelly kohlrabi though. My secret was getting into “veggie culture” by frequenting the farmer’s market and reading books about them so I could be properly acquainted upon first bite.
Is eating vegetables magic? No, but it does make me feel a lot better and it is not too hard to deal with once you become used to their taste. The only ones left for me to conquer and those that require cooking like beets or taro.
Tired of having to negotiate where to eat lunch with cheapskate friends, I went to the bar of a fancy restaurant alone. I had pan seared salmon, mixed greens, and gelato. Needless to say, it was better than anything I would have eaten with with my friends for lunch. And it wasn’t that expensive; it was about the price of a movie ticket with drinks. Eating at the bar made it less awkward and a lot of nice restaurants have bars.
