I just got my cartilage done twice 2 days ago along with my third hole in my ears. The first one [up higher] didn’t hurt at all to piece the second hurt a bit more than a normal ear piercing, but not enough to not get it done. They look good and all you have to do is clean them daily . The only downside is that you can’t sleep on that side of your body because it will iritate your ear and will hurt. I heard that’s only the case for the first 2-3 nights though.

I got my naval pierced when I was 13, but had wanted it since I was 12. My mum said I was too young and that it may just be a passing thought so I had to continue to want it for another year before I could get it done. I think that if you’ve been thinking about getting it done for a while, go for it, but if you’ve just recently started thinking about it wait a while just to make sure it’s what you really want. As for the pain factor, ut hurts just as much as getting your ears pierced [in my experience] you just have to make sure you clean it regularly.
