How I did it: I always had a lot of anxiety about my own wedding. I managed to get through it, and loved it, because I kept the guest list short, and the wedding simple. We got married at city hall and had dinner at a morrocan restaurant with belly dancers. I was surprised at how amazing it felt to be surrounded by the people we loved the most in the world. How I did it: Goal setting, exercise, eating well, music, and sunshine all help. Yoga helps, also making time for creativity, making music with others and art by myself. I made progress on reducing my migraine headaches by focusing on nutrition and exercise. Having less headaches is a major life change. I put myself on a “fun” allowance. $10 a week to spend on something crazy. It sounds like very little but so far has been just as rewarding as a big spend a thon. I can’t manage to keep it to $10 every week, but it works most weeks. Now there is Christmas coming, lots of opportunity to spend on other people.
