How I did it: In doing my practicum for my counselling studies, I began volunteering at a drop-in centre in a hospital. Really, the majority of what I do is provide a warm place in an otherwise cold environment, and offer assistance and a "place to land". And I listen. What I hear is amazing. There's so many people living so many lives - and we've each got common threads between us.. and not-so-common threads. Within the common threads we build rapport… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I didn't do it. But I have met up with him... that in itself is worthy. Tennis I'd rather not play with him; it'd bring up the old competition and division. We need much more neutral grounds. What this goal should have said is: forgive my Dad.
