sew a quilt
new quilt

I’ve been working on a new quilt. I don’t have it all planned out yet… I like the pattern because it’s easy but I can still be creative with it. Erin helped me pick out the colors – they go with a pillow I bought a couple of years ago at Pier 1.

Erin was home over her spring break and we kept fighting over MY sewing machine (I got my own for Christmas so we’d have two in the house… but mine’s better…muahhaha). Her place is in the kitchen, mine is in the sewing room, and that’s how it should stay.

Kyle and I decided if we want to still be together then we should so we are. The break was needed, but I’m so happy we’re back together :)

buy a keyboard
Korg vs. Yamaha

My parents bought me a piano when I was in elementary school, and it is one of my favorite possessions. Now I’m a young woman – and I play in a metal band. I’ve just been playing on my guitarist’s Alesis QS7.1 but have wanted my own for three years. I FINALLY have the money saved (I “worked hard for the money”). Last weekend I went to a music store of the West Shore to talk to someone about what type of keyboard. I thought I wanted a Yamaha MO8, but after talking with him I’m learning toward a Korg… I think he said it’s a TR that I’d be interested in? He’s supposed to call me soon when they get a couple in stock so I can play with them.

I need to remember to call him and let him know I do care about the weighted keys and after-touch… I dont think the Korg has that in 76 keys, only 88. Can I handle an 88, or will I look tiny behind it?
