Uni on hold

Well, I had to put this goal on hold. I was all set to start Uni, but then my Father had a bad fall, and has gotten a lot weaker since then, so I put my Uni on hold so I could stay at home to take better care of him. He was doing well, which was why I thought I could take the time to go to Uni, but now I can’t see that happening.

I’m going to look into doing it via correspondance.

go swiming again
I haven't gone swiming for 20 years

God I feel old saying that!

The last time I went swimming, I was 12 or 13, and we were on holiday at South West Rocks (North Coast of NSW, Australia). While swimming at the beach I got stung by a blue bottle (Portuguese Man o’ War). It wrapped right around my waist, and hurt like hell.

After that, I never swam again. At first it was just beaches that I avoided – because I never could be sure what else was swimming in them. But then, as it became longer and longer since I had ever gone swimming, I avoided swimming pools as well.

A few years ago my family and I went on holiday to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. Even at SeaWorld, where they have a huge pool and waterslides, and in the middle of a stinking hot Australian Summer, I still refused to go swimming.

Well I want to get over it! My sister is building a pool in her back yard, and as soon as its ready, I’m swimming in it.

Although I admit, I’m a not nervous just thinking about it.

Not yet, but almost

I haven’t done this yet. I just thought I’d note that I’ve done WiiFit for 30 days and I only missed three.
But I’m enjoying it, so I’m going to continue, and I’ll do this at some point!
