I am walking over a mile several times a week and also lifting weights to try to get back in shape. My heart doc says “yes.” Over the past several weeks I have been able to push my MHR to 110% of my stress test done back in March. I am feeling better and have more energy.

Crockpot Spanish Rice

I make Spanish Rice by cleaning out the fridge – any meat I chop up and any tomato stuff and peppers and onions I dump in my crockpot with 2 cups raw rice and 2 cups stock and 2 cups water and cook a couple hours until done. Keeps well and is a good side dish or basis for a main meal. Works great – made some this morning!

Doc says yes and exercise too. Have lost 10 lbs since starting 3 months ago. “Gotta do better!”
